Why Is Pediatric First Aid Different?
Children and infants are not simply smaller adults.
Their emergency-care needs, communication, physical characteristics, and response considerations can differ from adults.
This course helps participants understand those differences and practice appropriate emergency responses in a controlled learning environment.
Practical Training
The course is highly hands-on.
Participants will:
Learn the appropriate emergency procedure.
Observe an instructor demonstration.
Practice the skill.
Receive instructor feedback.
Repeat the skill.
Apply the skill in realistic scenarios.
The objective is to develop confidence and competence, not simply memorize information.
Assessment
Participants must demonstrate the required practical skills according to the standards of the selected training agency.
Additional practice can be provided when a participant needs more time to become comfortable with a particular skill.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the required course components, participants receive the applicable Emergency First Response – Care for Children certification through the selected training agency.
EFR is an internationally recognized emergency-care training organization with courses offered worldwide.
Certification Renewal
Emergency-response skills should be practiced regularly.
PADI recommends refreshing CPR and first-aid skills regularly because these skills can deteriorate without practice.
For professional or workplace requirements, always follow the renewal interval required by your employer, organization, or applicable training agency.

Please bring:

Notebook or pen
Drinking water

Personal medications, if required
